Selling Domains Via Email

Many readers have been asking us to reveal how we go about selling our domains via email.

The answer is SIMPLE - we don't sell our domains via email, we only close the sale through email when someone contacts us through the WHOis.

Here is one such example of such a sale completed via email.....

Hello,
Are you the owner of the parked domain "s****paralysis.info"?

I am interested in buying the domain.

I'm not offering a lot of money, because I don't think it is a particularly lucrative domain without developing it, which itself costs money, but if you would consider selling it at around the $25 - $30 mark, please let me know.

Kind regards,
N****

Hi N****,
You can buy the domain from Godaddy where it is listed for sale right now.

Savio

Hello Savio,
I have looked, and "s****paralysis.info" is not listed as for sale on GoDaddy.

They say I can use their domain buying service for $70 to negotiate a sale with you, but I would rather save the $70 and negotiate with you directly.

Are you interested in selling this domain? If so, what would be your best price?

Thanks,
N****

Hi N****,
With the high CPC and link sale value of the domain I feel $60 is a fair price.

However, I am willing to negotiate a bit since we need to reach our sales targets within the next 9 days.

The domain is registered at NameCheap and can be pushed to your account there within minutes.

Payments can be made by PayPal (verified buyers only) and once the payment has been made then you will find the domain name in your account there as well.

Also, kindly give me some kind of proof that you are a genuine buyer since we don't normally sell our domains this way.

A website link or some of the domain names you own should suffice.

If you cannot furnish some evidence that you indeed are who you say you are then please don't bother replying to this email or wasting your time.

Regards,
Savio

So what happens here is that buyers directly contact us about a domain name that they are interesting in buying from us.

We then negotiate a price within 2 email replies itself and sell the domain name to the buyer.

The moment the email replies extend beyond 3 replies (that you make) then you know that the buyer is probably not genuine nor is he or she really keen on actually buying the domain name at the price you want.

Also, asking for some kind of proof that the buyer is actually genuine (and does this often enough) is extremely important.

There are loads of desperate domainers out there who are trying their best to steal your domains. Be careful, and never ever stop being careful.

You can use PayPal for quick payments or for bigger values you can use Escrow services such as eCop.
